Michael Phillips
Phillips has taken a great interest in capturing the colour and characteristics of birds. In some paintings the birds may be the centre subject, or in other cases they may be camouflaged within the painting, giving a sense of discovery to the viewer scrutinizing the painting. Phillips, who is probably best known for his capturing subjects of old architecture, maintains his fascination for houses of yesteryear that are either still in existence or have since been demolished.

The subject matters he paints are things that he finds both enjoyable and challenging.
