CHE LOVELACE
Lovelace has had several solo exhibitions. He has been involved in several group exhibitions internationally, including two ground breaking shows that featured important artists of Latin American and the Caribbean: these were the exhibitions "Caribe. Exclusion, Framentacion y Paraiso" at the Meiac Museum, Spain in 1998 and the 2001 exhibition "The Politics of Difference" which toured several museums in South and Central America as well as Europe. His work has been exhibited at several regional Bienales, including the Santo Domingo Biennale and the VI Biennale de Pintura in Cuenca, Ecuador. The Gasworks Gallery in London also presented a body of his painting produced during a residency with the INIVA (International Institute of Visual Arts), London in 1999, after he was awarded the UNESCO-ASCHBERG Artist Bursary. His work was included in the 3rd Valencia Biennale 2007 at the Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia, Spain. Che Lovelace lives and works in Trinidad.
