101 Art Gallery is owned by Mark Pereira who has 25 years experience as an art dealer and publisher. The Team at 101 Art Gallery comprises Mark Pereira and Dulcie Nieves (19 years experience).

The name of the Gallery comes from its original location in Woodbrook – 101 Tragarete Road, where some 22 formal shows were held annually, as well as having a comprehensive Consignment Gallery on the premises.

In 2005 it was decided to change the focus of the Gallery: a move was made to the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago premises, in Federation Park where the purpose built exhibition hall is rented by 101 Gallery annually from September to November (and sometimes February to April). This enables the Gallery to focus their attention on a “stable” of only 12 artists who exhibit bi-annually with 101. The change in focus has been an unqualified success – some artists working with 101 Gallery have now enjoyed more than 23 years representation!  The artists we represent can be viewed in this website.
The 101 Art Gallery is the longest running Art Gallery in Trinidad and Tobago. It is also the only gallery in Trinidad and Tobago that specializes in art sales only without the distraction of framing or other business ventures.

Over the years the 101 Art Gallery has developed a reputation in dealing in an area of art in Trinidad that is specialized – we represent a number of Private and Corporate Collectors who have works dating from Cazabon (1813-1888) to Chang, Atteck, Codallo, Greenidge, Stollmeyer, Hingwan, Boodhoo et al. We are able to source works by these Trinidad Masters and hold sales of works, called “Precious Paintings from Private Collections” – a means of the Collectors to capitalize on their investments, and a chance for new Collectors to acquire valuable investment quality paintings.

101 Art Gallery  will be closed until  26 March 2011, when we open with the exhibition of Erik Feely
(see Preview page- click here).
We sell throughout the year from this website, and ship internationally. You can contact us at 101arts@tstt.net.tt
