The 101 Art Gallery was founded in 1991 by Trinidadian owner Mark N. Pereira after leaving a 6-year partnership in the art gallery and publishing company Aquarela Galleries.
The name comes from the first location (101 Tragarete Road).
After some 300 exhibitions at the old 101 location and some 20 shows a year, we have decided to re-focus. We will be hosting formal exhibitions annually at the Art Society of Trinidad and Tobago
see News page from beginning of September until end of November.
Additionally, we will be working through our website and we are available to do private and corporate collections.
The agreement with the ASTT also allows 101 Art Gallery to exhibit outside of the existing 3-months arrangement at the ATT building.
WE SEEK WORK
The 101 Art Gallery has clients interested in acquiring works by Michel Jean Cazabon (1813-1888), Sybil Atteck, Alfredo Codallo, Edwin Hingwan, Dermot Louison, Carlisle Chang, Amy Leong Pang, M.P. Alladin; Knolly Greenidge and Isaiah James Boodhoo.
Really, any Trinidad/Tobago artist up to 1980.
